Handle the challenges of moisture control year round.
Tank-Dry is designed to be used in diesel fuel, gasoline, and heating oil products to reduce water contamination in fuel storage tanks. Tank Dry is a colorless liquid that can aid in inhibiting bacterial growth and will act as a water “anti-freeze” during cold weather. When Tank-Dry is used for on or off-road diesel applications it does not exceed 15 ppm of sulfur in the additive.
Application
It is recommended to monitor vehicle saddle tanks and bulk storage tanks for water bottoms. Water bottoms should be pumped out or drained prior to additive dosing. Fuel sampling and laboratory analysis is recommended for suspected fuel problems, prior to treatment with Tank-Dry to check for the presence of entrained moisture, microbial/bacterial activity, or any other contaminate.
Purpose | One gallon |
To re-liquify fuel | 600 gallons |
Shock Dose for higher than 500 ppm of water | 1,000 gallons |
Maintenance treat to prevent issues, range | 5,000 to 10,000 gallons |
For personal safety, first aid, storage and handling, see the safety data sheet (SDS) for product specific information.
Benefits
- minimizes corrosion.
- inhibits bacterial growth.
- Acts as a water anti-freeze during cold weather.
- Safe in both on road/off road applications
- Reliquifies gelled fuel in emergencies.

Dosage
Because free water can be difficult to pump from tanks bottoms, known water issues should be treated with:
- 1 gallon of Tank Dry to 1000 gallons of fuel. Retest tank for entrained water and repeat at the 1:1000-gallon ratio to obtain the desired result.
- As a preventative measure, Tank-Dry can be used at range of 1:5,000 – 1:10,000 as needed.
